A poem for the unbelievers

Oh dull indifferent world
as I scream…

In the wilderness beyond
computers and
the internet…

I know something, someone,
myself;
or did once
when I was younger.

Senses deadened by booze,
and booze,
and more booze.
god, there was so much booze.
I never knew how to say ‘no.’

Drifting furthur on a wave of
broken dreams or …
broken promises or…
the death of hope.
it never ends.

Oh dull indifferent world
as I scream…

There is no end to this desert.
